Add Audio Recordings

In this lesson, you will be taught how to add audio recordings to be used in your Workflow. This might include greeting messages, voicemails, auto-attendant voiceovers, and other specific recordings when someone calls your business.

Click on Edit in the menu bar and click on Audio Files.

This will open the page where you can add your own recorded messages.

Adding Workflow Recordings and Voicemail Recordings

The next stage is relevant to adding Workflow Recordings and Voicemail Recordings. The difference between Workflow and Voicemail recordings are –

Click on the Add New button.

A pop-up box will appear.

You have two options to add a new recording.

  • Record an Audio –
    1. Add a name to easily identify the recording you are about to record.
    2. Click on Start to begin recording your message.
    3. CoreInteract will use the device currently setup as your microphone on your computer to capture the recording.
    4. Click Stop to finish recording your message.
    5. Once you have recorded your message you will be able to play it back.
    6. To re-record your recording start from (2) again and repeat.


  • Upload a File –
    • Add a name to easily identify the recording you are about to upload.
    • Click on the Upload Icon and choose the recording you wish to add. Supported files currently include MP3, WAV, WMA.

Once you have clicked Save, you will be taken back to the main Audio Recordings page.

Voicemail Settings

Voicemail settings are where you can assign your audio files to your main voicemail and to your workgroups voicemail. Workgroups come later in this course so you might have to come back to assign these.

Tenant Level Voicemail

  1. Click on the Edit button.

A pop-up box will appear.

You have several options to add your audio recording.

  1. Record an Audio – See above for details.
  2. Upload a File – See above for details.
  3. Select Greeting – If you have already recorded an audio recording from the steps above. Then you can click on Select Greeting and choose the greeting from the drop-down menu.

Click Save to assign that recording to the Tenant Level Voicemail.

Workgroup Level Voicemail

You can add as many Workgroup voicemails as you like. To add a group voicemail to a Workgroup, follow the next steps.

Scroll down to the Workgroup Level box and click Add New.

The new Workgroup voicemail will be added below.

Add a Name to easily identify the Workgroup Voicemail.

Click on Add New Greeting.

A pop-up box will appear.

You have the option to record audio, upload a file or select a previously recorded greeting.

Click Save to assign that recording to the Workgroup Voicemail.

You must assign the Workgroup Voicemail to a Workgroup who will have access to this voicemail.

To do this, click on the drop-down bar and select the Workgroup that will have access.

Click Save and a green confirmation box will appear to confirm the Workgroup Voicemail is currently set up.
